Nippon Steel Raises Wire Rod Prices From October This Year

Metal supplier
Nippon Steel, the largest steel producer in Japan, has decided to raise both domestic and export prices for wire rod and rebar by 20,000 yen per tonne from October.

The move was aimed at stabilizing the company's supply and operations as raw material prices reached record highs and transportation and other related costs also rose.

This time it was the third promotion. The increase in April was 10,000 yen, and in July - 5,000 yen with a cumulative increase of 35,000 yen.
